What’S The Role?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Credit Analyst to join the Westpac Institutional Bank’s (WIB) Customer Insights & Analytics (CI&A) team focusing on Corporate and Institutional Health & Aged Care clients.
The CI&A team is responsible for high quality origination and delivery of customer and industry insights to differentiate our sales proposition, manage portfolio risk and provide robust analysis to support and deliver sustainable credit decisions, within a wholesale banking environment.
In role, you’ll support the management of a portfolio of Corporate and Institutional Health and Aged Care clients, including the origination process for new transactions and the ongoing monitoring and management of the client portfolio as the primary credit analyst.
This role can be performed in either Sydney or Melbourne and will suit a recent Grad, or someone with developing experience gained within the Corporate Banking sector.
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring a strong mix of technical capability, commercial sector insight, and a collaborative energy. If you’re ready to own it and make an impact, here’s what will help you succeed:
- Proven understanding of credit analysis and financial models, ideally within the Health & Aged Care industry sector to compile credit papers, assist with pitches and sector research and business development materials delivering real value for our clients by leaning into shared knowledge, using data insights and Group expertise.
- Write credit submissions including good quality risk analysis and financial forecasting, be able to present and navigate submissions through WIB’s risk management decision process with a focus on delivering safely and acting upon well-understood risks and tailored solutions.
- A curious mindset, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly. These skills may have been developed during your time in a wholesale or corporate and Institutional banking environment.
