Your New Role
In this 12-month contract you will be a key contributor to the design and development of a scalable and repeatable framework for delivering remediation outcomes to members and the Fund.
Your main responsibilities will be risk management and governance oversight, including obligations management and completing control self-assessments to ensure remediations are being delivered in accordance with regulatory guidance and the Remediation Policy and Standard. This will include implementing new and improved ways of delivering remediation activities. In addition to this you will also help support the delivery of remediation activities by managing communication and payment tranches within the delivery team.
You will also contribute to the creation of new remediation artefacts and processes to ensure the Fund is completing remediations efficiently and consistently across all Business Domains. This will include completing quality assurance on previously completed remediations and making recommendations for improvement.
To be successful in this position you will need to be a critical thinker and an action-orientated problem solver.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
- Complete control self-assessments and provide concise and informative summary papers including recommendations.
- Create automated reporting from the GRC (Risk Management System) to provide oversight and insights on how remediations are being managed and delivered across the Fund.
- Recommend, lead and implement enhancements to the current remediation framework to improve consistency across the Fund.
- Create and regularly review and update artefacts that can simplify the remediation process and improve consistent delivery.
- Manage the Continuous Improvement register to ensure progress is being made with existing ideas and a backlog is implemented in a timely manner.
- Manage communication and payments for the delivery team.
- Deliver high quality written and verbal presentations to various stakeholder levels.
What You’Ll Need
- Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes.
- Significant experience working on remediation initiatives.
Risk Management Experience
- Clear understanding of industry remediation guidance, including RG 277.
- Advanced data analysis skills (SQL knowledge is not required)
- Developed stakeholder relationship skills, including ability to initiate, maintain and develop relationships.
- Ability to formulate reports and presentations to provide well considered options for deliberation by management.
- Developed written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills with the ability to present ideas, perspectives, and issues to senior management and obtain a decision.
