The Inclusion Service are looking for a Youth Worker to join the team. Supported by your Manager and an Education Officer, you will be working face to face and virtually with young people who are facing challenges accessing education.

About The Role

The Inclusion Service works with children, young people and their families to support them to achieve the best outcomes possible.  This role within the Service is aimed at supporting young people where there are vulnerabilities due to emotional wellbeing that prevents the young person from engaging in education. The principal aim is to support the young person to build resilience against the barriers to education through planned interventions and innovative delivery styles.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Significant experience of working with children, young people and families in either case or group work situations.
  • Experience of working with children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs.
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency setting.
  • Experience of engaging with young people who are vulnerable or from a hard-to-reach group. 
  • The use of innovative and interactive techniques to engage young people, parents, staff and partners, in particular those children, young people and families that are hard to reach.   
  • Experience of developing and delivering training and group work.
  • Possession of a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, and relevant insurances. However, a reasonable adjustment will be considered for an applicant with a disability.
