The AcquisitionĀ team embodies sales strategy, driving the development of specific cities/areas with a strong focus on restaurants. This role is a unique opportunity to help grow Pluxee in Portugal with a strong sense of ownership and directly impact the success.
What youāll be doing:
How will your next challenge look like?
Merchant Acquisition Representatives are sales professionals responsible for adding new merchants to the network. They continuously look for potential merchants in relevant product domains, present BRS value propositions, and convince them of the commercial conditions. They can be assigned according to different dimensions such as geography (zone), segment, and merchant size.
⢠Manages new merchant affiliation activity in the assigned region/segment by prospecting retail stores, schools and nurseries, using various direct methods such as calling and face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
⢠Monitors retail trends in the assigned region/segment, identifying new retail stores / new companies and approaching selected potentials promptly to gain first moversā advantage
⢠Responds promptly to inbound affiliation requests, with an objective assessment on the merchants' conditions.
⢠Executes the commercial policy for acquiring new merchants, negotiating the right level of commissions
⢠Secures the essential depth of web of influence within the prospective merchant organization when required
⢠Prepares an annual affiliation plan from type, size and geography perspectives indicating commercial targets (rates, fees, commissions) attached
⢠Promotes all BRS value propositions to prospective merchants with the objective of selling additional service whilst acquisition.
⢠Monitors competition affiliation activity in the assigned portfolio, filters systematic movements and provides structured feedback to marketing teams.
⢠Executes rapid ad-hoc affiliation projects as per major client requests in a timely and organized manner.
⢠Ensures visibility of the Pluxee brand / signage on merchant premises
⢠Maintains a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospects.
⢠Drafts and delivers proposals that meet the clientsā expectations and are in line with the Pluxee BRS local policies
⢠Oversees the potentially complex integration process between merchant systems and BRS systems, involving the right experts, building & executing the project plan (when needed for affiliation)
⢠Makes optimal usage of internal Pluxee (CRM) system and records all interactions with existing merchants
⢠Provides forecasts on best case and most likely affiliation / commission figures over relevant time periods
⢠Uses modern online & offline social / networking tools to prospect new clients (understand WOI, which network/communities they use)

Education Requirements:
⢠BA/BS degree strongly preferred
⢠High school degree is required
Work Experience Requirements:
⢠Min 2 years of relevant B2B selling experience
Who you are?
⢠Familiarity with retail businesses is preferred
⢠CRM Usage Familiarity Competence and (Salesforce or Other)
⢠Proficiency in Microsoft Office
⢠Knowledge of the related local retail market
⢠Local product specifics (technical, legal, social aspects)
⢠Familiarity with sales forecasting
⢠KPIs (data) understanding
⢠Understanding of the technical aspects of Pluxee products
⢠Understanding of Data protection regulations
