Job Description

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Analyzes, evaluates, and manages the consultant prequalification program.
  • Acts as the PreQ System manager (e.g., initiates annual updates; solicits proposed changes; implements changes to the PreQ System; tests & verifies system updates for deployment in PreQ; provides approvals & denials in the PreQ System).
  • Provides information on prequalification program &/or policy to private organizations, government officials & general public; maintains & updates Prequalification Requirements Manual & coordinates with Communications for publishing.
  • Manages Good Faith Efforts (GFE) process for Professional Services and coordinates with GFE Committee. 
  • Oversees budget and provides budget preparation and administration for invoice and project schedule (IPS) forms. 
  • Administers consultant procurement process (e.g., oversees Controlling Board requests; encumbers funds; participates in consultant selection).

Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management or public administration; 36 mos. trg.or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position. 

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
  • Or 5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. exp. in business administration, management or public administration.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2, 63123.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

  • All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period. 
  • This position is overtime exempt per FLSA standards
Supplemental Information

If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.
