About the job you’re considering
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Backlog Delivery Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical delivery and operational support of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform. This role involves leading a medium-sized team focused on maintaining production stability and driving Business-As-Usual (BAU) enhancements. The Delivery Lead ensures that marketing automation capabilities are optimized to meet evolving business needs and client expectations.

Your Role

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers and support analysts responsible for Salesforce Marketing Cloud operations. 
  • Coordinate daily stand-ups and internal connects to ensure alignment on priorities and issue resolution. 
  • Oversee the health and performance of the Marketing Cloud environment, ensuring uptime and responsiveness. 
  • Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and preventive measures for recurring issues. 
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements for enhancements and new features. 
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Signature Success customer representative on releases, support management and enhancements. 
  • Prioritize and deliver incremental improvements to email marketing, journey builder, automation studio, and audience segmentation capabilities. 
  • Define and enforce best practices for campaign execution, data integration, and platform configuration. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance policies and external data protection standards. 
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for client teams, managing expectations and translating business needs into technical solutions. 
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions and provide input on roadmap development. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations, workflows, and enhancement history. 
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions and contribute to internal Centers of Excellence.

Your skills and experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role. 
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, and Mobile Studio. 
  • Proven experience in managing production support and delivering BAU enhancements. 
  • Proficiency in AMPScript, SQL, and integration with external data sources. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Salesforce certifications in Marketing Cloud Consultant or equivalent are preferred. 
  • Experience with Data Cloud would be helpful
