The Validation Engineer has overall day-to-day oversight and responsibility for product validation testing. This position requires an engineer that can provide guidance on the creation of appropriate tests for the automotive, construction and agriculture industry. The employee has to be an expert on Validation, act as a liaison between the test lab and the Engineering Solutions group, and as primary point of contact to guide the full Validation process. The position has to be responsible for the coordination and execution of Thermal, Mechanical, Electrical and Electromagnetic tests, among others.



Requirements


** Technical Expertise:
Strong experience developing test plans and procedures for various environmental tests (Thermal, Humidity, Drip, Vibration), Electrical tests (Load Dump, Reverse Battery, Overvoltage), and EMC tests (Radiation, Immunity, ESD).
Knowledge of and experience in testing RF signals (GPS, GSM/EDGE, LTE).
Familiarity with validation equipment such as temperature chambers, vibration tables, anechoic chambers, and EMC equipment.
Ability to design test harnesses and fixtures for test setup.
Understanding of statistical determination of mean time to failure and calculation of sample size.
Proficiency in validation tools and standards.
Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assembly.
Experience with low-level software interfacing.
Experience in product development methodologies and tools..

** Supervision and Leadership:
Provide day-to-day supervision and coordination of the Validation process.
Act as a liaison between the test lab and the Engineering Solutions group.
Take responsibility for coordinating and executing various tests.

** Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to identify deviations from process standards and provide recommendations.
Capable of analyzing and evaluating alternate solutions to testing and setup problems.

** Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EE, EET, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in electronics product validation.
Understanding of electrical drawings, software requirements definition, and product development processes.
Experience with products developed for harsh environments found in wireless communication, automotive, and heavy-duty equipment applications.
Experience working with external validation and test labs.
Experience in product design and writing test software/scripts is desirable.

Additional requirements
a) Shall have a valid Passport
b) Shall have a valid B-1 or Tourist VISA to enter USA
