Description

Student Inventory Assistants (SIAs), under the supervision and direction of the Facilities Coordinator and Assistant Director, are responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the CLEANR microplastics washing machine filters, developing & maintaining a Housing furniture inventory, and assisting with commercial deliveries to the residence halls.

Specific duties may include, but may not be limited to:

  • Deliver replacement CLEANR filter pods to machines across campus
  • Clean CLEANR filter machines
  • Updating the CLEANR online application
  • Inventorying and assessing the furniture of the resident bedrooms and building common rooms of the residence halls and Greek houses
  • Interfacing and communicating with outside vendors, acting as a vendor escort in residence halls and Greek houses when needed
  • Assist the Assistant Director with the creation and updating of pages on the University Housing website
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by appropriate staff

Qualifications

  • Attend all required training sessions
  • Willingness to perform widely varied duties with a positive attitude and enthusiam
  • Abililty to work both independently and as a team member
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to drive a golf cart (training will be provided)
  • Engage in frequent walking, standing, bending, stretching, and stair climbing
