We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth.
Advanced Programs
The Advanced Programs Project Engineering Manager reports to the Senior Manager, Advance Programs and is responsible for leading a team of project engineers managing project planning and execution for a wide range of initiatives for Bell. The Project Engineering Manager is also responsible for leading the capture team which identifies and develops proposals for externally funded technology development programs for Bell. Responsibilities include evaluating new opportunities, overseeing comprehensive resource planning, coordination with key internal and external stakeholders and accountability to Bell leadership with respect to the execution and success of Bell’s Advanced Programs.
Qualifications
What you'll be doing as a Project Engineering Manager
- Manage and coordinate project engineers engaged on multiple simultaneous projects
- Dynamically assign project engineers as required to support multiple simultaneous Advanced Programs and emerging proposals
- Develop manpower and budget forecasts for the Advanced Programs Project Engineering team
- Oversee the Technology Development Capture team and evaluate emerging opportunities with respect to available resources, competing projects and technical value to Bell
- Coordinate with Advanced Programs Engineering, the Bell Proposal team and key support functions (Legal, Contracts, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure the construction of timely and effective proposals for externally funded programs
- Collaborate with Bell design engineers, suppliers and customer organizations to plan and execute successful technical developments
- Assess execution risks (cost, schedule, technical) for Advanced Programs projects and propose mitigation options
- Recruit, assess and select new project engineers as required to meet team requirements for project engineering
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders for key Advanced Programs projects

- Experience with aerospace technology development
- Experience working with the US Government in developing new technologies (highly desired)
- Experience leading an engineering team developing new technology (highly desired)
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures and Earned Value Management methodology is preferred
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skillsWhat you need to be successful

- Minimum 8+ years of experience managing technical projects
Bachelors Degree Required
- Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
- Capable of holding a SECRET security Clerance
