Aviation Training Device Specialist – Japan
The Aviation Training Device Specialist provides on-site maintenance and support of Aviation Training Devices for V-22 aircraft and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
This position will be based in Fort Worth and will support V-22 aircraft located in Japan.
This position requires 50% travel to Japan.
What you’ll be doing as an Aviation Training Device Specialist – Japan:

Provide support, both technical and operational, for training systems for on-site customer

Perform routine preventative maintenance checks on all contracted Training Systems
-
Troubleshoot and repair electronic circuits and computers to the component level with appropriate tools and test equipment

Perform software updates and modifications of Training System components

Support Engineering specialists working with training device manufacturers while resolving discrepancies

Conduct engineering tests run on flight simulators as required by customers

Assist with scheduling operations, maintenance and modifications

Maintain Training System Device parts and repair database(s)

Maintain Training System documentation library as required
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role:
Ability to read and interpret schematics, OEM technical manuals, and US Government documents.
Excellent people skills for interacting directly with customers and a focus on customer need
Proficiency with MS Office products preferred
Proficiency with SharePoint and ENOVIA preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills preferred
Ability to work effectively within a matrix enterprise preferred
Ability to prioritize assignments and self-manage tasks preferred
Military aviation environment and training experience preferred
Knowledge of the NAVAIR configuration management process preferred
Knowledge of OSHA or NAVOSH requirements for hazmat and workspace preferred
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electronics, Computers or related degree field.
At least 2 years of experience maintaining and repairing electronics, computers, and Training Systems (Flight Simulator, Maintenance and Operational Trainers, IT systems) for aircraft.
Ability to obtain US Government Secret Security Clearance
Ability to travel 50% as required for Training System Support
Ability to climb ladders and lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds
