We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager at the Vice President level to lead compliance-focused technology initiatives within Financial Services. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and compliance information architecture, with a good understanding of Asia Pacific regulatory requirements.
Experience in Cash Equities and related products, including booking models and trade flows, is highly desirable—particularly for Trade Surveillance and RegTech implementations.
Candidate will also lead stakeholder management in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Requirements & Business Analysis
- Partner with business and compliance stakeholders to gather, interpret, and document regulatory requirements across multiple domains in Compliance, including Trade Surveillance, E-communications Surveillance, Financial Crimes (AML, KYC, Sanctions Screening), Control Room, Conflicts Clearance, and Central Compliance
- Translate complex compliance needs into clear, actionable specifications, including trade, transaction, and position-based reporting obligations under regimes such as JFSA, BOJ, MAS, HKMA/SFC, FSC, SEBI/RBI
- Analyze trade lifecycle events (e.g., orders, routes, executions, allocations, confirmations, settlements) and post-trade enrichment to support regulatory reporting and surveillance use cases
- Demonstrated experience with compliance and regulatory reporting platforms, such as SMARTS, OneTick, NICE Actimize, Oracle OFSAA applications, AxiomSL, UnaVista, and homegrown platforms supporting surveillance, financial crimes, control room workflows, and APAC regulatory submissions.

- Conduct hands-on data analysis to validate requirements and support solution design.
- Develop and refine data models to support compliance reporting, surveillance, and auditability.
- Use tools such as SQL and other data platforms to analyze trade data and booking flows.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of the firm’s compliance information architecture.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of RegTech solutions for surveillance, reporting, and monitoring.
- Ensure alignment of technology solutions with global and Asia Pacific regional compliance standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small team of Business Analysts, fostering collaboration and delivery excellence.
- Present analysis, findings, and solution proposals to stakeholders across business, compliance, and technology.
- Participate in governance forums and contribute to prioritization of compliance initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ experience as a Business Analyst in the Compliance and Regulatory domain within Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards, especially across Asia Pacific jurisdictions.
- Hands-on experience with Cash Equities, booking models, and trade flows for Trade Surveillance.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Python, Excel, Tableau).
- Experience designing and implementing RegTech solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a small team of analysts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive initiatives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- Certifications in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Compliance (e.g., ICA, CAMS).
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
