Responsibilities

As Group Engineering Manager, you will lead and develop a diverse team focused on delivering exceptional user experiences and robust cloud services. You will collaborate with Engineering Managers to build a sustainable organisation, ensuring services are scalable, reliable, and optimised. Your role includes providing strong leadership, fostering collaboration and trust, maintaining a data-driven culture, and advancing Microsoft 365 Security adoption. Success in this position requires comfort with start-up environments, a drive for long-term architecture, and motivation to solve complex security challenges.

Qualifications

• More than 15 years of experience as a software engineer on large-scale commercial projects. 
• Experience in mentoring and developing talent. 
• Communication skills and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security Researchers, and Data Scientists. 
• Over 4 years designing scalable and distributed cloud services. 
• Over 4 years applying development principles and patterns. 
• Over 4 years delivering microservices architecture-based cloud solutions. 
• Skills in debugging and problem-solving. 
• Knowledge of secure software development life cycle. 
• Familiarity with software development tools such as source control systems (GIT), automated build systems, compilers, software validation systems, project tracking, and lifecycle management systems. 
• Ability to work independently and manage technical and architectural dependencies. 
• Holds a BS or MS degree in Computer Science.
