This person will join a dynamic team of tax professionals here at Fortinet and will report to the Tax Director.
- Responsible for ensuring quarterly/annual tax accounting requirements are fulfilled and properly reported, which includes assisting with the worldwide preparation and consolidation for income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and documentation of global tax provision processes, including, but not limited to, quarterly reconciliation of tax accounts, return-to-provision calculations, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and quarterly/annual tax provision calculations.
- Review tax disclosures in financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
- Assist in tax accounting preparation for mergers and acquisitions.
- Assist in the creation and management of internal controls, working among external auditors, tax advisors, and Fortinet internal team members to ensure tax control processes are functioning properly and consistently refined.
- Assist in transfer pricing projects, including, but not limited to, APA process, MAP and litigation for resolving transfer pricing disputes.
- Drive continuous improvement in tax operations through process optimization and technology implementation. Implement and maintain tax automation tools, including but not limited to Alteryx.
Desired Skills And Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of combined tax experience in public accounting and in industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, CPA or working towards CPA preferred.
- Extensive federal, state and US international corporate tax reporting knowledge
- Solid general accounting and income tax accounting (ASC 740) knowledge.
- Experience in the automated analytics tool, Alteryx, and ability to brainstorm new ideas to enhance process efficiency.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy and to collaborate as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Earnings for this position are expected to be $130,000 - $190,000 Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion
