You will guide the team to produce well-tested code, lead advanced debugging, and reduce technical debt through refactoring and tool development. You will provide expert code reviews, demonstrate knowledge of multiple languages and algorithms, and analyze data for decisions. You will apply systems thinking, contribute to team mentorship, and guide technical direction, while resolving conflicts and simplifying processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a detailed understanding of Youtube (YT) Shopping. Collaborate with Program Managers to support business priorities with technical road maps.
  • Author and guide the team in producing technical designs, translating product requirements into well-defined implementation plans that can be executed on.
  • Support the engineering team throughout the entire development cycle, participating in design, code and launch reviews, resulting in high-quality features. Conduct data analyses to evaluate the impact of implemented features on key business metrics, contribute to the definition and continuous monitoring of relevant performance indicators.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with other YouTube Shopping team leads and YouTube platform engineering teams to realize design with standard procedures within timelines.
