Software Engineer II, YouTube Ads

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 1 year of experience working with Python or C++.
• 1 year of experience with backend service development.
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend or full-stack applications and services, primarily using languages like C++, or Java.
• Implement well-defined features, including changes in the YT Ads serving stack, storage, and APIs.
• Contribute to backend infrastructure, including working on data pipelines.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code, and participate actively in code reviews.
• Work with executive engineers to understand technical designs and requirements for your projects.
