About The Role:
As a DevOps Engineer, you play a crucial role in supporting the development, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure and application services that drive fundcraft’s platform. You work closely with backend engineers, product managers, and QA departments to facilitate smooth software delivery and enhance operational efficiency. Your primary focus is on hands-on tasks that ensure system reliability, scalability, and security while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
In this role, you assist in automating deployment processes and maintaining cloud infrastructure, contributing to the overall health of the platform. You actively participate in monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues, working alongside Senior DevOps Engineers to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement. You also engage in learning and applying modern DevOps practices and tools, ensuring that the unit adheres to industry best practices.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Support the development and automation of CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process and reduce time to market.
- Monitor system performance and reliability using monitoring tools, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and assisting in root cause analysis.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deployment processes, infrastructure configurations, and operational procedures to promote knowledge sharing within the department.
- Assist in automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of human error.
- Contribute to implementing security best practices in the deployment and maintenance of applications and infrastructure.
- Stay current with DevOps tools, practices, and technologies, actively seeking opportunities to enhance skills and contribute to the unit.
Skills & Expected Behaviours:
- A foundational understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools, including familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions to help automate pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms , such as AWS, and Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Terraform.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages to automate tasks, specifically with Python and Bash.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- A willingness to learn new tools and technologies to enhance your skill set.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments.
Nice-To-Haves:
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, ECS.
- Familiarity with database management.
