Pharmacy Buyer at Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance in Torrance, CA. This position is a Full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The Pharmacy Purchasing agent position assists with the purchase of pharmaceuticals and supplies. Position maintains efficient systems for ordering, receiving and record-keeping. Researches and compiles data on use and purchases of all drugs and supplies utilized by the department. Contacts drug company representatives and drug wholesalers to expedite back orders and ascertain status of shipment. Maintains records and files of inventory status, purchase orders and receipts, goods returned, vendor contacts and so forth. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products for the infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations served. Responsible for complying with all requirements of the 340b drug discount program. Also addresses and reconciles discrepancies in the inventory. Maintains an adequate, cost effective supply of drugs for area of responsibility. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director as determined by need.

Required Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Upon hire: California Pharmacy Technician License
- 1 year Pharmacy technician or material procurement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training Pharmacy technician program (may be required in some states for pharmacy technicians)
- 2 years Inpatient Pharmacy Technician experience
- Pharmacy purchasing or Finance experience
