Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst provides a wide range of systems related financial functions in support of the accounting and financial reporting processes for both operating centers and field offices. The incumbent leads the systems update, maintenance and improvements initiatives for the Financial Accounting organization.

Essential Functions

Maintenance of Oracle Cloud Financials

  1. Set-up of all chart fields including companies, accounts, departments, TOC, TOS
  2. Maintenance of all chart fields including companies, accounts, departments, TOC, TOS including deactivation and updates
  3. Hierarchy structure set-up and maintenance for all hierarchies including company, accounts, departments, TOC, TOS
  4. Maintain and update the department intake Smartsheet process for department requests and updates including reports, automated workflows, and notifications
  5. Maintain and update cross-validation rules
  6. Maintain various system and external calendars, opening and closing accounting periods
  7. Maintain and update the period close Smartsheet process as monitor of the period close including dashboard statistics, reports, automated workflows, and notifications

Reporting

  1. Manage and implement the hierarchy/reporting changes submitted by the field offices monthly including coordinating and communicating the changes with the wider cross-functional group including IT, WFM, HCM and BI
  2. Maintain, run, and distribute balance sheet reports to management on a quarterly basis
  3. Run monthly Oracle reports for use by accounting personnel and broader audience

System Testing

  1. Testing on new Oracle releases and CWBs
  2. Testing on sub-system upgrades
  3. Testing on reporting changes
  4. Testing on various other projects as needed

Projects/Other

  1. Prepare, update, and maintain the SCIS audit workbook including reconciliations
  2. Other Audit Support

  3. Management requests for reporting changes due to reorganization
  4. Maintain and update the NA accounting & finance portal page on SharePoint
  5. Maintain and update the financial accounting Teams site monthly with updated reports
  6. Other projects as required

Minimum Qualifications At Entry

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree required; accounting, finance, or other related major preferred
  2. Minimum 3-4 years’ experience with accounting system software packages (Oracle Cloud ERP preferred) including the basic theories and applications of general accounting monthly close process and balance sheet analysis

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  1. Excellent PC skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office with Excel
  2. Smartsheet proficiency a plus
  3. Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
  5. Ability to successfully carry out multiple assignments concurrently and prioritize responsibilities
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  7. Ability to interact effectively with all levels and across diverse cultures
  8. Set and maintain a high standard of quality for assigned responsibilities
  9. Proactively pursue best practices and process improvements
