Description
PRN Imaging Technologist - F/T
- Provides courteous and efficient patient care.
- Prepares for and performs all radiographic examinations by positioning patients and adjusting equipment factors for optimum exposures.
- Transports, transfers and positions patients in a manner that is safe for the patient.
- Processes CT films and evaluates finished radiographs for technical quality.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the radiographic and associated minor equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures.
- Performs patient care paperwork such as logging clients, releasing and tracking films, filing and retrieving reports, answering the telephone, taking messages, and all other duties pertinent to this position.
- Follows protocol to ensure radiation safety, and quality assurance policies and procedures are met.
- Is knowledgeable of current policies and procedures regarding hospital personnel and the Radiology Department and adheres to them appropriately.
- Completes the annual mandatory training and CPR every year.
- Knowledge of emergent situations, appropriate notification of Health Care Provider, and appropriate use of on-call staff.
- Interviews, orients, trains, supervise, and conduct annual evaluations of staff to ensure the provision of quality services to residents.
- Reports and submits employee accident/incident reports to HR as soon as possible after the occurrence of the accident/incident.
Schedule
Imaging Technologist required to be available for scheduled on-call.

- Follows all safety precautions.
- Keeps up to date on all mandatory annual training, and annual proficiency skills reviews.
- Follows up on all problems and issues brought to his/her attention in a positive and productive manner until solved
- Works productively in the absence of supervision, and makes appropriate independent decisions.
Omhc Required Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for becoming knowledgeable and compliant with Department, Hospital, Fire/ Safety/ Disaster, Educational requirements, and Personnel Policies.
- Follows the Corporate Compliance Program and maintains HIPAA confidentiality standard.
- Demonstrates support and adherence to the Mission Statement of OMHC.
- Participates and supports the Quality Improvement program and provides optimum customer service.
- Mandatory Annual Training per policy completed annually.
- Complete annual competency and skills
- Attends mandatory meetings and in-services and other meetings as requested.
- Checks, reads and responds to district e-mail’s daily when here, at least weekly when not. Is responsible for knowing and understanding the content in the e-mail and follow-up if necessary.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Must be able to physically, mentally and emotionally meet the needs of the patients throughout the work day.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be met fully.
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients during emergent situations.
Requirements
Required Education and Certification
- Associates degree in Technical Science, registered with the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), and Licensed as a CT Technologist with the State of Washington.
- Current BLS upon hire and duration of employment
