The Department of Visual and Performing Arts seeks applicants for adjunct instructors in the Music Division for the fall of 2025.

These courses are offered primarily to undergraduate music majors concentrating in Music Education and/or Music Media. However, Music Appreciation and African American Music are courses offered in the general education core and are taught to a broad range of majors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral Degree
• 18 credit hours of graduate level music courses
• For applied instructors (private lessons), a minimum of 8 hours of applied study at the graduate level on the subject instrument.

Additional Considerations

• Experience teaching music and/or applied lessons on the college/university level
