What you will be doing in this role
At Adventist Healthcare, we are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Health Outcomes & Quality Manager to oversee key portfolios in clinical governance, quality management, and patient safety, ensuring the highest standards of care and supporting accreditation.
Reporting to the Director of Governance & Risk, you will manage the portfolios of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), Clinical Care Standards, clinical risk management, incident management, quality improvement, and infection prevention and control. This role is essential in promoting a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and excellence in patient outcomes.
As a clinical governance leader, you will act as the primary liaison with accrediting bodies and work with multidisciplinary teams to manage clinical risks, develop, review, implement and monitor a strong quality management framework, drive patient safety initiatives, and ensure the organisation consistently improves care and service delivery outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven experience implementing and managing clinical governance frameworks and quality systems.
- A strong understanding of current best practices in clinical governance, including innovative approaches to improving patient safety, care quality, and clinical risk management.
- Familiarity with modern change management strategies, implementation methods, and relevant research methodologies.
- Sound knowledge of legislation, common law, and ethical principles relevant to clinical practice and healthcare delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with communities, service providers, and key stakeholders.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver on strategic objectives and improve clinical and operational outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant healthcare discipline.
