Food Service Assistant

Enjoy flexible hours for better work life balance.     About the Role   As a member of our dynamic team, you will report to the Catering Manager and work within a fast-paced, team-focused environment at Warringal Private Hospital.     Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages
• Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards
• Dishwashing
• Allergy control awareness

  Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, working a variety of shifts starting from 0530, 0630, and 1400, 1430.     Skills and Experience   The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and be punctual, reliable, with a dedication to offering authentic, friendly customer service.

• Previous experience in a customer service, kitchen and hospitality is essential
• Previous experience in hospitals is desirable
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
• Ability to be sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
• Willingness to accept and promote Ramsay’s core values
