Description

The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role in our financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis efforts. This role will work closely with senior management to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making throughout the company. This position offers the opportunity to impact our operations significantly, requiring a blend of analytical prowess and strategic thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning, such as cash flow forecasting and ROI analysis.
  • Create monthly financial reporting package including variance analysis and comparison to budget for presentation to the leadership team
  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with department heads to compile and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Drive the annual budget process, including setting timelines, reviewing departmental submissions, and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Support the development and analysis of key financial metrics to monitor the company’s performance against strategic objectives.
  • Lead and contribute to special projects, such as investment analyses or cost-reduction initiatives, providing critical support for executive decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance financial reporting systems to improve efficiency and provide greater transparency into business performance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial planning and analysis to continually improve processes and strategies.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives or to provide financial insights into company-wide projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with a strong quantitative focus.
  • 3-7 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking or a closely related field. 
  • Advanced Excel skills are required including proficiency in VBA indicating a high level of comfort with complex financial models and analysis.
  • An independent and detail-oriented work style with a robust capacity for managing extensive data analysis and financial model development.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills, paired with strong business acumen.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in an understandable manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Basic & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer and attend virtual and in-person meetings as needed.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as necessary.

Job Type: Exempt, Full-Time
