Accounting Specialist
Grand Junction, Co
- One Full-Time Position. 36 to 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Remote / hybrid work.
- Hiring Range: $20.32 - $22.15 / hr., depending upon education and experience.
Minimum Requirements
Required:
- High School graduation or equivalent, minimum age 18.
- Minimum 3 years accounting-related experience.
Preferred:
- Associate degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 1-year experience in data presentation.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, this position assists with the day-to-day functions of the Finance Department and program financial support. Incumbents perform intermediate-level accounting and record-keeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures for all accounting functions.
- Promote and maintain confidentiality of financial and other data at all times.
- Review and communicate to programs AR and AP transactions for correctness.
- Process approved credit memos for designated programs.
- Process payments to vendors; issue checks for accounts payable.
- Provide monthly review reports to programs.
- Send billing for payment of services.
- Monitor and reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger accounts.
- Ensure files are complete and maintained in alphabetical and chronological order.
- Identifying and correcting errors that occur due to data entry.

- Basic computer knowledge.
- Knowledge of the type of services Ariel Clinical Services provides. Exercise independent judgment within the scope and boundaries of the department, the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations regarding department operations.
- Ability to provide reliable transportation for self.
- Working knowledge of accounting software currently being used at Ariel.
Education And Experience
Required:
