Our Opportunity
Location: Eliwana - Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people (PKKP), located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 90 kilometres west of Tom Price.
Roster: 4D3R Monday - Thursday FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Group Manager People and Employee Relations, the Superintendent People is responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to leaders and team members alike. This role forms an integral part of Fortescue’s People and Culture strategy which aims to achieve engaged, empowered, diverse and high performing teams.
As a trusted specialist within our pillar, you will apply a high degree of human resources expertise in coaching and influencing our teams through their strategic and operational goals, while enhancing their leadership ability within the Mining Operations business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of energetic and engaged People Senior Advisors & Advisors
- Use advanced data analytics to inform and direct people strategies
- Apply strategic advice and best practice on the areas of engagement, diversity and employee relations;
- Partner with internal stakeholders in the delivery of leadership and development programs; and
- Be a keen advocate for Fortescue’s values and ensuring our well-established family culture
Qualifications And Experience
- Degree in Human Resources or similar
- Established experience as a Business Partner or People and Culture generalist
- Ability to lead and manage large projects and initiatives
- Excellent coaching skills, with the ability to build relationships with leaders and stakeholders across all levels, functions, and locations
- Creative problem-solving skills, including through data analysis, understanding trends, and developing recommendations
- A personal alignment with Fortescue’s values
