Senior Analyst (Financial Modelling & Tools)

About Our Group:

This position is part of the Finance Strategy organization and will be based in the US. The role primarily involves developing financial models and tools using advanced techniques such (but not limited to) Machine Learning, Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, Optimization Algorithms, and similar. 

Financial modelling will span various domains, including Corporate Finance, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Market Research, Valuation, Benchmarking, and more. 

About The Role - You Will:

•    Apply Advanced Statistical & Machine Learning Techniques: Leverage time series forecasting (ARIMA, Prophet), clustering (K-means, DBSCAN), dimensionality reduction (PCA), and ensemble learning to uncover financial patterns and optimize decision-making.
•    Develop Predictive Financial Models: Apply univariate and multivariate regression techniques to model key financial drivers, and use machine learning algorithms such as decision trees, random forest, and XGBoost to enhance forecasting accuracy and scenario analysis.
•    Demonstrate Proficiency in Analytical Tools: Utilize Python, R, SQL, Excel, Alteryx, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) for data manipulation, statistical modeling, automation, and financial analysis.
•    Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
•    Perform Corporate Valuation: Utilize DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions to assess business value.
•    Benchmark Financial Performance: Analyze internal metrics against industry standards to identify performance gaps and opportunities.
•    Estimate Market Size & Trends: Conduct TAM/SAM analysis and evaluate market dynamics to support growth strategies.
•    Automate Reporting & Dashboards: Use tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel VBA to streamline financial reporting and visualization.

About You:

• The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise with the following:
• •    Predictive Analytics (Univariate & Multivariate Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM)
• •    Time Series Analysis (ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet)
• •    Unsupervised Learning (Clustering, PCA)
• •    Financial Modeling & Forecasting
• •    Corporate Valuation Techniques (DCF, LBO, SOTP etc.)
• •    Market Research & Competitive Analysis
• •    Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Excel, Alteryx

Your Experience Includes:

• Data Visualization (Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong Statistical Foundation (Hypothesis Testing, Confidence Intervals, A/B Testing)
• BS in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cognitive Science, Machine Learning or related field
