Contract: Permanent/Full Time

Salary: Circa £60,000  & Car Allowance*

Comprising of Anglian Water, MGroup, Barhale and Kier, the IOS Alliance work together to concentrate on solutions across the water recycling and clean water asset base.

What Will You Be Doing As Our New Quality & Assurance Manager?

This is an extremely exciting opportunity to lead and develop a new vision for Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS), where a heavy focus on Quality and Assurance will be critical to IOS’s Success. IOS consists of a team of experts from Anglian Water, and external Partners who collaboratively work together to deliver optimal solutions for Anglina Water. As we move into AMP8 IOS will support the delivery of Anglian Water’s most ambitious capital programme yet, where the volume and complete of work will increase. Therefore, to support this programme IOS must have a clear quality and assurance strategy to meet these challenges.

The Quality & Assurance Manager will report directly to the Delivery Director and be a key member of the senior leadership team. The Q&A Manager will act as the focal point for the coordination of activities relating to the development, implementation and maintenance of IOS’s Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality & Assurance Manager will lead the Quality and Assurance team, ensuring the right resources, skills and competencies are in place amongst the subject matter experts and specialists within the team.

A Little Bit About Your Skills, Experience And Behaviours

  • Design and Implement IOS’s Quality and Assurance strategy to meet IOS’s regulatory requirements
  • Lead the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of IOS’s Quality Management System, Quality Policy and Quality Procedures.
  • Producing clear reporting metrics and KPI’s to monitor IOS’s monthly performance against the QMS
  • Establishing and maintaining records of all audits with records of any respective Corrective Action Reports (CARs) or Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Championing Quality & Assurance across IOS to drive a positive improvement towards specified quality levels, objectives, performance and client satisfaction.
  • Arranging for all relevant IOS personnel to be available for Internal and Partner Audits and being the focal point for Audits by auditors and the Partner’s Certification Bodies
  • Monitoring the due date of CARs or NCRs and advising the relevant Management Team and/or other staff if a CAR or NCR becomes overdue. Following up outstanding CARs and NCRs until close out is achieved with notification of closure from the Auditor
  • Experience of working in a construction environment and water industry
  • Understanding and practical implementation experience of designing, developing, and embedding organisational management systems
  • Lead Auditor and detailed knowledge of ISO9001
  • Contributing in the preparation of reports on QMS matters to the SLT, Partner Management Group (PMG), IOS Management Board (AMB) and other meetings
  • Communicating changes to the QMS with advice on implications on working practices
  • Providing advice to IOS’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and set clear requirements for Partner Organisations and IOS’s personnel on all elements of the QMS
  • Liaising with Anglian Water and Partners Quality & Assurance teams to reflect amendments to their QMS’s (Quality Management Systems) that might need to be reflected in the QMS
  • Undertaking Management Review with focus on continual improvement
  • Identifying QMS training needs and liaising with the SLT
  • Advising teams carrying out quality investigations
