Summary:

This role is responsible for or the active development of material applications, through close collaboration with both external and internal technical and commercial stakeholders. This role will also prepare and engage in the execution of successful market activation strategies in collaboration with internal partners.

Essential Functions:

  • Drive innovation and strategically expand product portfolio.
  • Exchange technological information, test critical assumptions and educate customers during visits.
  • Channel customer feedback into holistic evaluation of unmet needs, buying process analysis, critical to quality metrics, value chain analysis, equivalent value modeling and time-to-market analysis.
  • Support key milestone decisions in product development through close collaboration with research and development.
  • Define and enable market activation plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders to demonstrate material value proposition.
  • Conduct Proofs of Concept (PoC) studies using digital simulations or real-world measurements to demonstrate the value of our materials in practical customer applications.
  • Support the New Business Development (NBD) and Marketing organization in the achievement of shared objectives like e.g. growth initiatives, annual operating plan and strategic plan goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science Degree in Engineering or Physics.  
  • Demonstrated technical capability in Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in customer facing role with increasing scope of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success in presenting to and interacting with customers and stakeholders.
  • Travel:  Up to 50%.
