Label and Packaging Manager 

Position Overview:

As a Label Development & Packaging manager, you play a crucial role in conceptualizing, creating, and approving Bayer Crop Science product labeling and packaging graphics. You ensure label accuracy by incorporating all internal and external regulatory mandates, marketing requirements, specifications, and guidelines for the North America region covering Crop Protection, Seed Growth, Row Crops, and Vegetable seeds. Your expertise as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key interface for internal and external stakeholders is vital in providing guidance and ensuring alignment across business functions. You support business strategy by ensuring product packaging meets standards and specifications and complies with federal regulations. By aligning closely with Planning, you ensure the timing and availability of packaging best support customer needs. You develop and implement procedures and policies for labeling and packaging to maintain the integrity of the labeling process.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities:

• Lead the Label Development & Packaging Department to conceptualize, create, and approve concise and compliant product labeling and packaging graphics;
• Ensure label accuracy by incorporating all internal and external regulatory mandates, marketing requirements, specifications, and guidelines;
• Serve as the regional SME and key interface for internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and ensuring alignment across business functions;
• Support business strategy by ensuring product packaging meets standards and specifications and is compliant with federal regulations;
• Align closely with Planning on timing and availability of packaging to best support customer needs;
• Develop and implement procedures and policies for labeling and packaging that ensure the integrity of the labeling process is maintained.

Who You Are:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in technical and/or business discipline;
• Ability to serve as subject matter expert is essential for success in this role;
• 10+ years’ experience in regulatory or chemical product labeling and transportation;
• Proficiency in matters related to FIFRA (Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act), with extensive knowledge and understanding, interpretation, and application of Part 156, Title 40, of the Code of Federal Regulations governing the labeling of pesticide products and devices;
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of 49CFR, Hazardous Materials Regulations, as it pertains to the transportation, shipment, and governance of pesticide products.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $111,693.60 - $167,540.40 compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
