Job Description
The Lead Financial Analyst provides financial oversight in developing and driving the Operations annual plan, monthly forecast and close processes across the Business units in an efficient and sustainable manner. This role will partner with Finance leaders and their teams to deliver against financial targets and appropriately communicate risks and opportunities to the leadership team. This position owns the messaging for Operations results of the Business units, working closely with the Operations and Commercial Finance leaders.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead annual planning and monthly forecasting process for the business units, partnering with Finance Leaders and their teams to deliver against financial targets and appropriately communicate risks and opportunities to the leadership team
- Prepare and communicate consolidated reporting for plan, forecast and actuals (single source of truth), including commentary with drivers based on activity and results within the business
- Consolidate business unit commentary for the executive Finance and Operations leadership and submissions to Fortune Brands Innovations (FBIN) FP&A
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to gather relevant data, analyze variance drivers, and incorporate insights into financial plans and forecasts.
- Lead / coordinate the preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Review Meeting presentations
- Perform ad hoc analysis and lead special projects to support the operations finance organization
- Manage the booking and forecasting of manufacturing variances, including variance capitalization in inventory, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Science, etc.) is required; an MBA, CPA and/or CMA is preferred
- 7+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field required. 10+ years of experience preferred. Previous FP&A experience is a plus.
- Highly motivated self-starter who’s had experience working in ambiguous situations
- Develop procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and best practices
- Identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and strive for continuous improvement
- Proficiency with Excel modeling, data management and translating information into meaningful presentations and insights
- Microsoft office required – Oracle and/or SAP experience preferred

- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and business partners
- Handle pressure and deadlines as well as perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Strong business acumen and thorough understanding of business fundamentals
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
