Geocgi is seeking a Network Operations Support Specialist to join the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) team at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium. The successful candidate will provide hands-on network operations support for NATO’s routing and switching infrastructure, ensuring service availability, troubleshooting incidents, and participating in sprint-based maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities at SHAPE in Mons, Belgium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 3rd-level technical support for NATO Deployable CIS (DCIS) services, ensuring availability and performance meet established KPIs.
- Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents across multiple security domains (NU, MS, NS).
- Conduct routine maintenance, backups, and restores of IT and data management infrastructure.
- Support incident, change, and release management processes in accordance with NCIA procedures.
- Participate in sprint planning, execution, and review meetings; maintain sprint goals, quality standards, and deliverable tracking.
- Collaborate with NATO stakeholders to coordinate service delivery and development activities.
- Participate in a rotation-based on-call support for critical incidents, ensuring timely intervention and restoration outside of normal working hours, including weekends and holidays.

The following are requirements of the Network Operations Support Specialist.
- U.S. Citizen with Active U.S. Passport.
- Must hold an Active DoD Secret Clearance or DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with:
o Cisco routing and switching configuration and operations.
o Network monitoring/event management tools. (e.g., Intermapper, CA Spectrum)
o Troubleshooting network, system, and application issues.
o TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), QoS, Policy-Based Routing.
- Knowledge of ITIL service management and configuration management practices.
- Strong English communication and briefing skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and resolve issues proactively.
- Willingness to work 100% onsite at SHAPE, Belgium, including on-call rotations and occasional NATO site travel.
The following are preferred of the IT Network Operations Support Specialist.
- Experience with network automation/orchestration platforms.
- Understanding of MPLS-TE transmission protocols.
- Familiarity with Voice/Video collaboration services.
- Background in supporting military exercises or multinational operations.
- Knowledge of service transition and ITIL beyond basics (e.g., Change/Release/Incident Management at scale).
- Familiarity with NATO responsibilities, organizational structure, or prior NATO/NCIA experience.
- Will accept familiarity with U.S. DoD responsibilities, organizational structure or prior DoD experience.
The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $95,000-$115,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
