Job Description

Here’S What You’Ll Do:

  • Maintains function and reliability of facility and utility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive and predictive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, and/or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
  • Collaborates with the manager to help drive Certification in RETA CARO and CIRO. Train, teach, coach ‘Wonderful Citrus’s Utilities Training Program’ for all direct reports
  • Managing the PSM/RMP program will include supporting documentation for CUPA, USEPA, Cal-OSHA, Fed-OSHA and RAGAGEP. Updating the written documents for RMP/PSM/CalARP. Assist in preparing and maintaining Process Safety Information. Leading the Process Hazard Analysis and correcting issues that result from audits in a timely manner
  • Establish and run the weekly, monthly, yearly maintenance plans to ensure essential maintenance is completed, schedule Work Orders for direct reports, verifying completion in a timely and safe manner
  • Utilizes mechanical and electrical expertise to maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, industrial air compressors, fire prevention systems, plumbing systems, concrete/blacktop surfaces, dry wall, ceilings, sweepers, power mowers, and forklifts
  • Implements corrective actions identified by key maintenance performance indicators to create overall equipment effectiveness
  • Remains current with state and federal regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation
  • Ensures corporate policies and standards are followed in both capital project implementation as well as daily maintenance
  • Complete all paperwork including maintenance records, incident reports and root cause analysis, as assigned by management. Maintain current technical documentation on PLCs, instrumentation and equipment (PLC ladder logic, blueprints, manuals, SOPs, maintenance procedures, PMs, inventory/parts purchasing
  • Contribute and adhere to companies “best practices” within the department
  • Monitor and enforce policies, plant procedures and programs with employees, contractors, vendors, consultants and suppliers (i.e. safety, food safety, regulatory, etc.).

Qualifications

Here's what you'll bring to the table:

  • Minimum 3 years in a facility supervisor role or related experience/training; High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years industrial maintenance experience in ammonia refrigeration preferred
  • RETA certifications in CARO and CIRO is preferred; if certifications are not held currently, they must be obtained within 6 months of employment, with the company supporting the training
  • Prior experience with plumbing, drywall, air handlers, and electrical
  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
  • Must possess a high level of mechanical & electrical aptitude and be an effective communicator, mentor, and trainer
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to superior quality
  • Able to work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability is expected
  • Able to work off-shifts, weekends & extended shifts (i.e. 12 hrs.)
  • Understands, leverages, and champions the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) per established procedures - *Experience with Oracle is a plus
  • Experience with continuous improvement, processes/procedures, as well as equipment optimization
  • Experience with 5S implementation and sustainability
  • Understands, implements, and interprets KPI’s to measure success
  • Effective written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative team environment that includes; shared responsibilities, establishing and maintaining good working relationships with others to support team and company objectives and a willingness to work in all areas of the facility
  • Must be familiar with plant operations equipment
  • Scheduling work activities and adjusting workloads to compensate unscheduled absences, changing priorities, and special custodial projects
  • Ensures that the quality of custodial services meets established guidelines by inspecting the work of custodial personnel and directing corrective measures to be taken when necessary to meet those guidelines
  • Develops an effective team of custodial personnel by instructing all employees in the proper methods and use of materials and equipment for safe and efficient work performance, evaluating individual performances to meet established standards, providing required performance evaluations on custodial personnel, and making recommendations regarding the retention of new employees

Pay Range: $90,000 - $95,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
