An exciting opportunity has become available to join the External Communications team at Hato Hone St John on a part-time (16 hours per week), fixed-term contract through to June 2026.
This role plays an important part in raising the profile of Hato Hone St John by helping to keep our people, the public, and stakeholders connected and informed through our social media channels.
We’re looking for a creative and motivated Social Media Coordinator to help us increase positive posting and engagement, share meaningful content, and grow our online presence. It’s a fantastic role for someone building their career in marketing and communications, with a passion for social media strategy and content creation.
What You’Ll Do:
- Source, curate and schedule social media posts across multiple platforms.
- Assist in analysing audience engagement and reporting on social media statistics to measure post or campaign performance.
- Support the development of fresh ideas to increase reach and impact.
- In collaboration with the Communications team as well as other key teams, support the development and coordination of social media content plans and campaigns.
Hours: 16 per week worked across 3-4 days (Monday – Friday, flexible)
Contract: Fixed term until June 2026
Qualifications

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience within a busy, best-in-class communications team? You will bring:
- A qualification (or current study) in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Some practical experience — through voluntary work, internships, or personal projects.
- Strong writing and visual communication skills.
- An organised, detail-focused approach and confidence juggling multiple tasks.
- A genuine passion for social media and digital engagement.
