Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Warranty & FalconCare, the Supervisor Warranty Administration will effectively lead and direct the warranty department while monitoring the workflow and employee development. Under the direction of the Supervisor, Warranty Administration, warranty administrators will analyze warranty claims for applicability, coordinate reimbursement for contractual vendors, manage payment of claims to customers, reconcile warranty accounts to the general ledger.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Four year college degree
- Three years experience in accounting, business or equivalent experience
- Five years experience in warranty administration
- Two years experience in aircraft maintenance or an FAA A & P License
- Five years experience in a service organization
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both internal and external customers in a professional manner
- Ability to work well with others with little direct
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Pevious experience in employee evaluations and new employee selection
- Previous experience in a leader ship position
Working Conditions:
- Office and warehouse environment
- Some travel may be required
- Use of personnel computer is required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Non-Principal Duties/Responsibilities (Non-Essential Functions):
- Communicate with Management, Account Reps and customers regarding warranty status
- Assist the Account Representatives with the resolution of invoice disputes regarding warranty as assigned.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Direct and coordinate workflow within warranty department
- Conduct and complete warranty administration employees’ performance evaluations in a timely manner
- Recommend to management new hires after conducting employment interviews
- Counsel employee’s performance when required
- Ensure the warranty department’s production standards are met in accordance with existing DFJ performance standards
- Qualify the warranty claim/service reports for applicability
- Verify and approve vendor charges relating to individual repair orders
- Code general ledger account distribution after vendor charges have been approved
- Initiate invoices to customers if the customer’s warranty is denied
- Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely manner
- Other duties may be assigned b management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as-needed basis
- Review warranty claims related to labor reimbursement
- Facilitate disputed warranty decisions and invoice disputes
- Monitor vendor/manufacturer decisions to ensure contractual compliance with DFJ
- Compile warranty statistics for distribution to management
- Compile and monitor parts reliability statistics for distribution to management and Dassault Aviation
- Any other duties assigned by management
- Initiate credits to customers for special program compliance
- Initiate warranty credits upon warranty acceptance
- Coordinate warranty reimbursements between DFJ, vendors, manufacturer and Dassault International
- Monitor vendor warranty decisions to insure compliance with DFJ warranty contracts
Compensation And Benefits
The compensation for this position typically falls between $80,000 and $100,000 per year. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.
Note: the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
