Teachable’s Fraud team plays a critical role in maintaining acceptable chargeback rates for our payment processing activities. We rely on this team to investigate suspicious transactions and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and company policy.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week, including business hours on Saturday every month (10am-7pm Eastern Time Zone - NYC.) 

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a part-time, temporary Trust & Safety Operations Associate to support our day-to-day operations. The initial focus of this role will be on processing refunds and assisting with identity verification efforts. While this position is temporary, there may be an opportunity to extend depending on business needs.

This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week.  The schedule is flexible but prefer if someone can be available for a full shift on Mondays with the rest of the hours spread out throughout the week.

Responsibilities:

• Process refunds accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist customers with completing identity verification requirements.
• Review and triage ID verification submissions for escalation as needed.
• Maintain clear records of refund and verification activity.
• Support other Trust & Safety operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in operations, customer support, or trust & safety preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
• Excellent written communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable working with sensitive customer information.
