About The Role
BHP’s Enterprise and Cloud networks are a key enabler for our organization, forming one of the main components of our digital backbone. Our Enterprise and Cloud network function is focused on a period of digital modernization, establishing the foundations of a stable network and designing and implementing new network technology to enable the future strategic direction of BHP assets.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager for our Enterprise and Cloud Networks.
Key Areas Of Are:
- Operational management of BHP's Enterprise and Cloud Networks.
- Oversee Wireless and Wired networks, Cloud Networks (Azure and AWS), SD-WAN, Network Security, and Network Monitoring and Tooling.
- Manage projects across Australian and Canadian asset locations and all corporate offices globally.
- Collaborate closely with Asset Network Managers, Asset Technology Teams, Strategy and Architecture, and Cyber Security teams.
- Ensure compliance with appropriate standards, policies, and requirements.
- Own and provide strategic direction for the design of the relevant Network roadmaps and operating model which supports efficient and effective adoption and support of related network products and services.
- Constantly forward looking in network technical advancements, regulatory compliance requirements by engaging with Industry and Governing bodies.
- Collaborate across BHP globally to bring together internal subject matter experts to understand requirements for networks across all mining operations and corporate users.
- Implement a network strategy to enable a secure, modernised network including Software Defined Networking, Zero Touch Provisioning and Proactive Monitoring
About You
- Degree qualification in Technology, Computer Science related, ideal candidates would have minimum 8- 10 years of comparable experience. Advanced degrees or certifications in networks are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing an operational network environment, ideally across multiple locations
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing an offshore support vendor
- Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing roadmaps and network strategy across a geographically diverse team
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple teams and customers including the ability to identify strategic initiatives that address a customer requirement.
- Portfolio Management experience would be desirable and experience managing a strategic improvement program for networks globally
- Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.

The successful applicant will understand the following foundational technical supporting identity services:
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and technology (having/ building vendor relationships is a key requirement) including routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, network tools and monitoring
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to networks
- Familiarity with ITIL process and CMBD integration
- Experience with implementing network automation
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, CCIE, AWS/Azure Networking) are highly desirable
