An Exciting Opportunity Awaits
We currently have an opportunity for an Account Manager, Corporate Sales to join our Corporate Sales team in Winnipeg. As The Account Manager, Corporate Sales, you will manage and grow the corporate loan portfolio by providing exceptional service to both existing and potential members through promotion and sales of commercial lending products and services aimed at the acquisition, maintenance and expansion of businesses and commercial property. The portfolio of this Account Manager will reflect a range of members from small businesses to large corporations.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Build and strengthen member relationships by identifying member needs, cross selling and promoting the appropriate products and services, referring when necessary
- Assess credit worthiness via credit investigations, financial analysis, security inspections and searches as required
- Understand the member's financial situation to determine the product and/or service which best meets their needs (current and future)
- Process loan applications for members accurately and efficiently and when outside of discretionary limits, provide recommendations and/or obtain authorization from relevant lending authorities
- Conduct regular member meetings (including site visits) to strengthen member relations and assess any potential risks
- Solicit new members/business through annual reviews, referrals and networking
- Leverage and increase growth and profit potential through service excellence, product knowledge and teamwork
- Determine, communicate, and negotiate pricing and terms of credit union products such that value is realized by both the member and SCU
- Review delinquent accounts, analyze current status and initiate action to collect on delinquent loans
- Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures in the areas of lending, risk management, security and fraud prevention
- Deliver a needs-based style of service according to SCU's service delivery model
- Maintain up to date knowledge of SCU's products and services
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or diploma specializing in Business/Sales or equivalent plus 4 to 6 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Business acumen
- Advanced knowledge of financial accounting principles
- Advanced knowledge of lending policies and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with Risk Management principles
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Software proficiency
