Who we are  

The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells.

  
  Your role and key responsibilities
  • Contributing to innovative research project to explore innovative materials development, interfaces of solid state batteries
  • Applying advanced analytical techniques to understand performance, degradation, and reliability
  • Taking responsibility for specific project tasks and helping shape the direction of your research
  • Engaging in interdisciplinary teamwork and participating in regular discussions and reviews
  • Developing your doctoral topic in close coordination with a supervising professor from a university
  • Creating and presenting of project status in relevant circles
  • Evaluating and preparing of technical decision templates

The final doctoral topic will be defined together with the professor (m/f/d). The prerequisite for the cooperation is the confirmation of supervision as well as a confirmed definition of topic by the professor (m/f/d) of a university or research institution entitled to award doctorates. The doctorate will take place in cooperation with the University of Bayreuth.

  
  What you bring to the team
  • A good academic degree you for a doctorate in a relevant technical or scientific field (e.g. chemistry, materials science)
  • A strong interest in research and a desire to contribute to meaningful scientific advancements
  • Basic knowledge in battery cell development and interfaces, with a willingness to deepen your expertise
  • Enjoyment of hands-on work, in the lab
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
