Duration: Summer 2026 – 12 Weeks: Students must be enrolled fulltime in university pursuing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions supporting Renesas’s digital multiphase power controllers. You’ll gain exposure to the full software development lifecycle and have the chance to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software libraries, applications, and tools for Renesas’s digital multiphase power controllers in a small fast-paced team in a highly dynamic environment.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in Python, with opportunities to work in C++.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues at every level of software technology.

Qualifications
- Students must be enrolled fulltime in university pursuing a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Familiarity or experience with C++ is preferred. Knowledge of SQL databases is a plus.
- Understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Exposure to Linux/Unix environments.
- Interest in software development that spans a spectrum from low-level C code to high-level web/UI code.
