Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Process Integration Consultant with expertise in U.S. AP operations to support the harmonization of finance processes across the U.S. and Canada. This consultant will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and primary representative of the U.S. Accounts Payable process, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment, compliance, and operational effectiveness during the integration effort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the U.S. AP process subject matter expert, representing U.S. requirements, policies, and practices in cross-border finance integration discussions.
  • Partner with Canadian AP counterparts and finance leadership to identify process differences, dependencies, and opportunities for standardization.
  • Assess existing workflows, controls, and technologies, and provide recommendations for harmonized end-to-end AP processes (invoice intake, matching, approvals, payments, reporting).
  • Ensure U.S. AP processes remain compliant with federal/state regulations, tax rules (e.g., 1099, sales/use tax), and company policies during integration.
  • Support process documentation, gap analysis, and future-state design sessions for AP within the integrated finance function.
  • Serve as liaison between Finance, Procurement, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure AP systems and data integrations (e.g., ERP, banking platforms) are properly aligned.
  • Provide input into change management, training, and communications to ensure smooth adoption of integrated AP processes.
  • Monitor progress of integration efforts, escalating risks and recommending solutions to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable operations, with strong knowledge of U.S. AP processes, controls, and compliance
  • Prior consulting, integration, or transformation experience (finance shared services, ERP/AP module implementation, or cross-border process alignment preferred)
  • Strong understanding of AP technologies and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials, Coupa) a plus
  • Ability to document, analyze, and improve finance processes with a structured approach
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills; proven ability to represent U.S. process needs in global/regional settings
  • Experience in U.S./Canada or North America regional finance environments a plus
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Must reside in commuting distance to Cherry Hill, NJ

  • Salary ($116,000-$127,000 annually) + Annual Discretionary Bonus

Office Workplace Guidelines
