The Strategic Initiatives Program Manager  role will partner with business groups, IT, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality programs that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will oversee strategic initiatives, manage complex project portfolios, and ensure the successful implementation of solutions that drive impact for Datavant and our clients. Our ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, has strong program management experience, and is motivated to build cross-functional alignment that turns strategy into results.

You Will:

  • Report to the VP, Client Impact and oversee special initiatives within the Strategy and Business Operations portfolio.
  • Manage implementation programs end-to-end, ensuring projects are on time, high quality, and deliver measurable business value.
  • Collaborate with Datavant business units, IT teams, and external vendors to coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Provide program oversight for project managers, ensuring methodologies are followed and deliverables meet standards.
  • Partner with operations and new customers to implement solutions that strengthen retention, loyalty, and profitability.
  • Monitor project health, escalate risks, and support post-go-live issue resolution to ensure sustained success.
  • Conduct regular updates and staff meetings to maintain visibility and accountability across initiatives.

What you will bring to the table: 

  • 8+ years of experience in customer service, service delivery, or project/program management, with proven success managing multiple initiatives at once.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent healthcare experience).PMP certification highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influence skills with the ability to drive accountability across teams.
  • Proven ability to maintain roadmaps and portfolios, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in healthcare operations and/or health information management preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and MS Project.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:$144,000$180,000 USD
