Job Description

As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible and accountable for a major product module(s) or entire product’s Quality assurance and will be working with multiple scrum teams of skilled engineers to build out and maintain testing of our Equity Management SaaS Application. 

You will be responsible for planning, designing and building different kinds of test artifacts along with developing and executing tests that support new features, enhancements, and fixes to the product through work items planned in the current sprint and actively participating in planning, refinement, and retrospective meetings. You will be also responsible for managing few quality engineers and take care of their performance reviews and career conversations.

You will be working with multiple key product stakeholders, alongside Engineers and QA Engineers, following an Agile SDLC to create both manual and automated tests and ensure only the highest quality software is released.  You will be a great fit for this position if quality is at the forefront of your development best practices and you are willing to continuously learn new things to better yourself, career, and our products. 

Responsibilities

• As a leader of QA Guild, plan, define, lead many quality assurance initiatives, and manage few quality engineers
• Review, Define & document test plans, test cases and execute test for assigned work item.
• Collaborate with cross functional team to understand and identify appropriate testing criteria.
• Identify test conditions, both positive and negative, from User Stories, Product Backlog Items, and other requirements documents. 
• Execute test cases, document results, update progress and track bugs 
• Implementation and maintenance of Automated Test Infrastructure and Test Suites 
• Align automation with the speed of development. Make informed decisions on what, how, and when to automate vs manually test.
• Design and execute non-functional testing (e.g., performance, security and accessibility) by using standard testing techniques 
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives, and other meetings as needed 
• Operate in an agile development team and participate in the design, development, testing, and debugging of applications. 
• Review work items to estimate and work alongside senior engineers to propose testing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience (preferably in Product companies)
• 10+ years of commercial software testing experience, including experience in developing test cases for web applications
• 3+ years of experience in leading product quality assurance by leading QA engineers from multiple scrum teams
• 8+ years of experience with defining & documenting manual functional and non-functional testing
• 8+ years of experience using JIRA, XRAY, ALM or other test management tool
• 5+ years of commercial software testing experience in Automating test cases for web applications 
• 5+ years of experience with testing REST APIs (Postman, Curl) 
• 5+ years coding experience in C# and SQL
• Experience with performance and load testing
• Solid foundation of QA methodologies, testing techniques and software development process in an agile environment
• Solid understanding of the Agile SDLC
• Experience using TFS, JIRA, GIT, Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
• Experience using Selenium WebDriver
• Strong communication skills – written and verbal
• Strong collaboration skills – experience working in a small-team environment
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) is a plus
• Experience in financial domain is a plus
