This position is responsible for the accurate, efficient, and compliant maintenance of the University’s Master Data, which underpins key financial and operational processes. The Senior Executive will manage day-to-day master data activities with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, internal controls, and strict adherence to governance frameworks. The role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity, ensuring that master data remains current, reliable, and aligned with established policies and procedures. In doing so, it supports accurate reporting and facilitates timely, error-free transactions with business partners. In addition to core responsibilities, the Senior Executive will contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to streamline data maintenance workflows and enhance overall data governance.
Responsibilities:
Service Delivery:
- Create, maintain, and monitor SAP master data (business partner and financial) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and process master data requests submitted via ServiceNow and the Supplier Portal, verifying documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Liaise with requestors and vendors across Schools, Departments, and Centers to obtain required information.
- Handle inquiries and provide guidance to stakeholders on master data standards and processes.
- Coordinate with IT/system support teams to resolve technical issues affecting master data.
- Contribute to ad-hoc assignments and projects as required.
Operational Governance And Excellence:
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Perform regular monitoring and checks to identify duplicates, inconsistencies, or outdated records for follow-up action.
- Support audit exercises by providing timely retrieval of documentation and evidence of compliance.
- Participate in automation, UAT, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Update SOPs and process documentation to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
- Recognized degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification, with minimum 1 - 3 years of relevant experience in master data management, finance, or related functions.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP), master data processes, and governance, including internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Experience with automation tools such as Power Query, IRPA, UiPath, KNIME or Macro Recorder is an advantage.
