Job Description

This is an exciting time to join Visa's NA Marketing Services team, as we grow the team and strengthen our focus on deepening relationships with Fintech and Digital Partnership clients. The Senior Marketing Manager, NA Marketing Services Fintech will support the development and sell-in of client programs that optimize the use of Visa marketing platforms/initiatives as well as the delivery of the projects. Clients may include Fintech players in the Small Business or Peer-to-Peer space in addition to AI and Agentic Commerce. 

The Marketing Services team is transforming how we partner with clients to drive engagement, through a proactive and results driven marketing approach. As part of the North America Marketing Services team, the Senior Marketing Manager, will lead strategic account relationships while identifying opportunities for Visa to support clients with Marketing Services solutions. This role will be responsible for prospecting, pricing and selling in marketing solutions for Visa’s Fintech and Digital Partnership clients along with the end-to-end execution and delivery of the projects sold in. The Senior Marketing Manager will engage with teams across Visa and its clients to deliver thought leadership advisory services and execution of marketing programs to help grow our clients’ business and drive incremental client and Visa revenue. 

This role is responsible for planning and execution of marketing strategies and partnership initiatives to grow Visa’s business with Visa’s clients, such as lifecycle marketing engagements, best practices, go-to-market recommendations, sponsorship marketing, events, advisory services, social/digital marketing, through the activation of Visa marketing solutions, platforms/initiatives and strategic use of sponsorship assets. 

This Senior Manager is responsible for building partnership relationships with Visa cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Creative, Legal, and Marketing in addition to external agencies to deliver best-in-class marketing plans that drive business goals for both Visa and its clients.  This Senior Manager must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment. You are results-oriented, flexible, with a “can do”, positive attitude.  Additionally, you have a strong track record in working collaboratively and independently with internal team members and external clients.  

Essential Functions

You will lead Visa Marketing Services for select accounts of Visa’s Fintech and Digital Partnership clients that may include Fintech players in the Small Business or Peer-to-Peer space in addition to AI and Agentic Commerce.

You will drive the strategy and execution of key marketing initiatives to drive client business growth, such as lifecycle marketing engagements, best practices, go-to-market recommendations, sponsorship marketing, events, advisory services, social/digital marketing, etc.

You will lead marketing-related project scoping and requirements while aligning with sales and the client 

You will apply data-driven approach to marketing recommendations leveraging Visa data and industry research tools to capture/communicate marketing best practices and customer insights and present to clients 

You will work cross-functionally to develop and implement marketing projects that leverage the best of Visa resources and expertise (e.g., with Sales, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Product, Marketing, Legal, etc.) 

You will manage end-to-end delivery of marketing projects, including escalating any deliverables, updating timelines, and communicating changes to stakeholders with limited supervisory oversight

You will manage the budget/finance process as part of the program oversight and management, working closely with Marketing Delivery

You will manage ad hoc requests from key stakeholders, e.g., clients, Visa senior leadership, etc.

You will track and manage program results

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • You have strong executive presence and comfort leading discussions with clients
  • You have strong analytical skills and feel comfortable translating data into marketing strategy
  • You have Strong written and in-person communication skills
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You are detail oriented and extremely organized
  • You have experience planning and executing events
  • You have experience with executing programs in partnership with Sponsorship Properties
  • You are a team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • You are self-motivated and proactive in asking questions / proposing solutions
  • You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Word
  • You are willing to travel
  • You have significant experience in marketing in the financial services, fintech, or payments sector, working in a fast-moving environment
  • You have prior experience in business development
  • You have prior experience in designing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns (e.g., paid social, search engine marketing, email, direct mail, etc.) across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,700.00 to 200,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
