Job Description
As Director of B2B Fintech Partnerships, you will identify and sell in meaningful partnerships to fintechs looking to issue commercial cards. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to shape the future of B2B payments, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and execute innovative payment solutions.
What You'Ll Do
- Drive business growth by identifying, developing, and closing key B2B fintech partnership opportunities aligned with Visa's strategic goals
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Enablers, Fintechs, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Merchants to deliver complex partnership agreements and solutions
- Manage full sales cycles including pipeline management, strategy development, negotiation, and closing deals, leveraging tools like MS Dynamics
- Stay ahead of market trends, regulations, and competitor activity to inform strategy and capitalize on emerging partnership and acquisition opportunities
- Act as a thought leader and key influencer within the B2B payments segment, communicating progress and opportunities to senior leadership
- Proactively resolve challenges during partner program development to ensure alignment and success
What You Bring
- Proven sales and business development experience, ideally with 10+ years in B2B payments or fintech
- Strong ability to manage complex sales processes and strategic partnerships from negotiation through execution
- Demonstrated leadership capability, working collaboratively across multiple organizational groups
- Executive presence with excellent communication skills to engage senior stakeholders and present compelling business cases
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of B2B customer needs, payment technology solutions, and the competitive landscape
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- A minimum of 5 years business experience with related sales and management experience
- B2B Payments or financial services industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing a complex, competitive sales efforts and managing deals from negotiation to closing and through delivery
- Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions
- Strategic thinking and thought leadership
- Teamwork, interpersonal and relationship building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
- Proven ability to partner, communicate and navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
- Experience managing up, building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations
- Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties
- Executive presence and strong written and oral communication, including large group presentations
- Team oriented, collaborative and flexible
- Ability to influence and work within matrixed environment
- A willingness and ability to be flexible and do what is needed across the team
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is to $222,900 to $323,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
