This role will report into the ‘Manager, Accounting, AP, AR & Other Assets - GBS’, ensuring the correct US GAAP accounting treatment for accounts payable, accounts receivable and other asset-related categories.
As the Accounts Payable & Receivable Team Lead you will also be responsible for ensuring that we maximize the potential from our existing underlying systems (Oracle and BlackLine) and consistently evolve to embrace new technology.
In addition, the role will be responsible for ensuring all processes are in adherence to AECOM policies and procedures and compliant with relevant SOX narratives and controls.
- We are offering the following shift patterns:
- Early Shift: 6:00 AM IST - 3:00 PM IST
- Mid-Shift: 12:30 PM IST - 21:30 PM IST
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM IST - 3:00 AM
How you’ll make a difference, key responsibilities:
AR/AP and Other Asset category management, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Oversee the monthly reconciliation process to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial statements.
- Oversee the reconciliation of accounts payable/accounts receivable subledger, journal and clearing accounts and liaison with Source to Pay (S2P)/Order to Cash (O2C) to resolve discrepancies and upstream process issues.
- Oversee the reconciliation of employee advances, liaison with S2P to resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee the reconciliation of Employee expense/P-card accounts, liaison with S2P to resolve discrepancies.
Auditing and Compliance Monitoring
- Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with relevant local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with AP, AR and other asset-related category SOX narratives and control documentation.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement changes that generate efficiencies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with S2P and O2C to drive operational efficiencies and process improvement.
Qualifications

- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of General Accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a global organization.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with focus on US GAAP.
- Experience in SOX and operational compliance in shared services.
- Strong communication (English language), and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated success in cross-cultural, virtual team environments.
