What'S Select?

Founded in 2022, SELECT was born out of our desire for a product to find opportunities to optimize and make managing cloud data costs easier. After a period of research and consultation with other practitioners, we learned we weren't alone in wanting such a thing, so we set about building SELECT. Skipping forward to today, SELECT has over 200 customers, with a product built by a super-motivated, lean team talking to and shipping new features for our customers every single week.

Our Tech Stack:

We chose our stack to be both modern and battle-tested. Frontend: Typescript, React.js, Next.js, Tailwind CSS Backend: Python, FastAPI, Postgres, Snowflake Infra: Terraform, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), dbt, Dagster DevEx: Cursor, GitHub, Tuple

Job Responsibilities:

Building a new UX and design framework across our application, which we have recently commissioned from a design consultancy. Implementing DRY patterns across our components. Rollout a new dark mode function in the app. Replace our markdown generated pages with a headless CMS for faster publishing. If you want to accelerate your learning on building great front-end experiences and front-end in React + Next.js, this is for you.

Required Skills:

No previous experience with our stack is required - our only requirements are that you are willing to get stuck in, and eager to be challenged and learn quickly.

You're mission driven and thrive in an early stage company. You're excited about solving hard challenges, being a driver and not a passenger.

Technical expertise. You take your technical understanding extremely seriously and build great solutions that will stand the test of time.
