You have the opportunity to gain a wealth of expertise and a diverse range of skills, providing insight and knowledge without losing sight of your work-life balance or wellbeing.
In This Role, You'Ll:
Join the dynamic and collaborative Electrical & Traction Systems team within the Rolling Stock and Mechanical Design (RSMD) unit, where you’ll apply your Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering expertise to deliver safe, reliable, and maintainable rail systems.
You’ll support a broad range of design activities, from concept development and feasibility studies through to detailed systems design, design reviews, and on-site project support. Your work will span both electrical and electronic systems, reflecting the integrated nature of modern rail technologies.
Working alongside Senior Design Engineers, you’ll provide technical and systems advice across the business, using tools such as CAD, FEA, and control systems modelling to develop high-quality, compliant designs.

You excel in multidisciplinary environments, designing innovative, safe, and efficient electromechanical solutions that meet real-world demands.
You hold a degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering, and have proven experience in the design, analysis, or maintenance of electromechanical systems using tools like CAD, FEA, or control systems software. You understand engineering standards, compliance, and maintenance practices - preferably in rolling stock or related transport, or infrastructure sectors.
