As we continue our SaaS journey, we are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Technology Solutions team based at Eight Mile Plains (flexible working available). You will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of quality and collaborative attention to detail within a real-world SaaS environment. You will be responsible for guiding and defining quality assurance activities and methodologies across multiple scrum teams, ensuring consistent standards and best practices are upheld. You will join an established, yet growing tech business that is using ‘best in class’ technologies and who are locally developing a product that we will take to global markets.

As Qa Engineer, You Will:

  • Act as a technical lead, collaborating with and mentoring QA Engineering team across multiple scrum teams, including process, structure and skillset development.
  • Review product specifications and requirements, UX design prototypes and acceptance criteria to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Review QA processes and activities, suggesting iterative improvements and implementing recommended changes.
  • Assisting the ‘Manager, Development Operations’ to establish and track relevant QA KPI’s.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Create and maintain documentation for QA processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Provide feedback and assistance from a quality and usability perspective to other members of the product & development team.
  • Work as part of the agile, scrum process to achieve team sprint goals.

About You

To be successful you will have;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology combined with demonstrated five years experience in software development and software quality assurance. 
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and collaborating with QA engineers and developing QA processes.
  • Experience with real world software deployment, ideally business-grade/enterprise SaaS.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Hands on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process.
  • Keen to be included in full SDLC, including reviewing & giving feedback at the Design, Story Writing, development and deployment stages as well as during QA.
