Job Summary

  • Leads the BD strategy and implementation to generate new business growth, through assessing upscaling large existing clients, identifying sweet spot clients, strategic TAs and key markets. Driving local mfg. co. BD strategy. Segment scope will be Pharma, OTC, Medical devices & Consumer health.
  • Drive the BD funnel by establishing standard, robust, and agile processes and tools to conduct research and analysis of business opportunities, match client needs with our service portfolio, and closely monitor progress.
  • Drive engagement plan and monitoring across the team, identifying opportunities for multiple touchpoints and removing obstacles as needed.
  • Review Contracts & negotiate the contractual agreements with the clients
  • Lead, direct, and control all business development activities to meet the organization’s short and long-term business objective.

General Responsibilities

  • Role model BD with consultative selling behaviors in HEC. Establish and expand network to proactively and continuously engage with potential Clients, Customers, Partners and Industry leaders to help drive impact with the organization’s products and services.
  • Lead the strategic planning process for BD for all business segments (pharmaceuticals, medical device, consumer health / OTC).
  • Conduct mapping of companies per segment, key needs identification and matching with our current & future service offering. Develop in depth understanding of top 25 clients, stakeholder mapping and fact sheet info, to continuously meet and exceed their expectations and grow our margin.
  • Conduct mapping of key Tas or business segments and identify strategic opportunities for accelerated growth opportunities or cost-effective business models.
  • Generate insights to untap new target opportunities available in other markets for DKSH or from competitors’ business expiring.
  • Business deal contract review & negotiation
  • Define, drive, and monitor the execution of normalized, standard BD process around quality insights generation, robust engagement plan and KPI monitoring of BD funnel.
  • Ensure quality of data and insights via continuous and timely data reporting in SFDC, and updated tools to facilitate decision making.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Science or related fields preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing would be an advantage.
  • 15-20 years of experience in healthcare industry management (including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, hospital management, etc).
  • >8-10 years of relevant commercial leadership experience in healthcare management level. Recommended in a leading MNC global organization.
  • Diversity of experiences and breadth in different TAs, functional roles and go to market models (specialty, mass, vaccines, OTC consumer / pharma).
  • Commercial leadership experience. BD may be a plus, yet not required.Exposure above country, working with region / global teams.
